Students Celebrate Tuition Freedom Day

Wednesday, March 20, marks Tuition Freedom Day on PLNU’s campus. This day, observed annually for the past four years, is a chance for PLNU students to celebrate financial support given to them by various alumni, donors, churches, corporations, and foundations.

PLNU Hosts 11th Annual Monopoly Tournament

Carl Hammond, PLNU assistant professor accounting, has more than a dozen boxes of Monopoly lining an upper shelf in his office. He is the founder of PLNU’s annual Monopoly Tournament, which is open to students of any major, alumni, or any others with a passion for Monopoly or PLNU.

PLNU Hosts Day in a Chair

On March 11, the PLNU campus will take part in an event to promote accessibility awareness. This event, referred to as “Day in a Chair,” will allow students and staff to experience life from the perspective of someone in a wheelchair.

Hope International VP Temporarily Takes Over Center for International Development

Jesse Casler is visiting PLNU for the spring 2013 semester as an Executive in Residence for the Center for International Development (CID) and the Fermanian School of Business. He is teaching an upper division economics class and leading the CID while Dr. Rob Gailey is on sabbatical. Jesse is taking a study leave from HOPE International, where he serves as vice president of administration, to join the PLNU community.
