PLNU has an undefeated record in football! OK, so we’ve never had a football team, but a football or powderpuff game has almost always been a large part of our Homecoming festivities. Scroll through the history of these annual spirited sports.

In 1973, Pasadena College moved to San Diego and became Point Loma College. The move introduced a new tradition, Powderpuff football.

In 2007, the Senior/Junior team defeated the Freshmen/Sophomore team with a score of 20-0.

In 2011, The Freshmen/Sophomore team celebrated a victory over the Senior/Junior team. This was the first Freshmen/Sophomore victory after several years of Senior/Junior dominance.

This year, the Football tradition continues at PLNU. The powderpuff game will take place on the soccer field on Wednesday, November 20 @ 3:30pm and the Staff Vs. Mens Flag football team will take place on November 21st @ 4pm on the soccer field. Be sure to attend and show your support for this long lasting tradition.
