The innovative new series is designed to provided concise, relevant content in accelerated time frame. Courses begin in May 2013 and cover topics ranging from starting a business to stress management to floral design. Especially timely are a number of courses dedicated to effectively using social media for job seeking, marketing, and other professional purposes. Each six-hour course is broken down into two evenings and is taught by a qualified professional in the field. New classes begin every two weeks.

Jeanne Cochran, executive director of external program development, shared what makes this program different from traditional extended studies courses: “The Boot Camp Learning Series is all about you. For the first time, students, working adults, homemakers and retirees can find fast, fun, relevant information designed to be packaged according to their own individual interests, needs and schedules.”

Most boot camp classes will be held at the Liberty Station Conference Center. Additional information, including course descriptions, instructor biographies, and the full schedule, can be found at www.pointloma.edu/extended-studies.
